A day in the sun

 Raspberry flowers in the swamp
The Yellow Flag is past prime probably because of the beating from all the rain lately.

An other great trip to Zurich Bog

These young Trumpeter Swains were sharing the transient pond with the Canada Geese and the Mallard duck.
The Bison were also in the field with the above group.

In the bog were the usual suspects - The Cinnamon fern
The carnivorous, but very tiny, Dewdrop
The Pink Lady Slipper.

Crossing paths

This Hind was on the path this morning, but it was so warm Grenville said "never mind it's too hot to give chase"
Later this Cardinal crossed our path.  The Railroad crossed also but sort of who-cares.

The end ... of Canandagua Lake

Look into the eye of the serpent.  Ok it is only a Northern Water snake.
The Wild Grapes are coming along.

Birds, bugs, bogs, buds

This green frog has got lots of room with all the rain we have gotten and are expecting
Finally it is waqrm enough for the Tiger Swallow tails
Some day I'll get off my butt and look up what this is.  I just like the picture.
I also like this picture of the Mandrake/Mayapple blossom
This is just about 1/2 of the herd of Turkey Vultures that were flying around.  Kind of makes one nervous that you may be what they are watching.  Don't trip!

These guys are fading fast at this point but are still neat to see in the woods and photograph.

Butterflys are finially out

Yellow warbler checks out the buds.
Blue Azure  if you see this guy flying he has light blue wing tops but trying to get that shot is tough and he rarely fans his wings while stopped.
