Trillium currently

This is the state of the Trillium for the other day.  The freeze has taken it's toll.
This guy is not unscathed but doing well.

Very cool morning

It was very cool, not a frost, this morning which is probably why this Bloodroot lost it's pedals.
Seeing this Purple Trillium was a HUGH surprise.  It must be mid May.
Even this trillium is ahead of it's time.  We will see what happens after the freeze tonight.

A cool and rainy day in March

Bloodroot curled up angst the rain
I think I finally figured out what this was last year later in the season, but I have forgotten.
A Trillium that should be at this stage in mid to late April not March

Worst of all ... I had to mow the lawn!  What the heck!  I could mow it next week and it would still be March.  I SHOULD BE SHOVELING SNOW OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY.
