A hole ...

A hole in the sky. A drought is about to start according to the forecasts.

Rain most of the week

We had a drought on wed. so the Painted turtles were sunning
 Whole groups
Fortunately the drought ended Thurs. morning
Creeks like this are typically dry by now
The little Red Newt was out moving to a new home.
The wild cherries are starting to turn red.  Unfortunately these are about 15 feet up.

Rain the couple days

 Fog on the pond
This is one of the few honey bees I have seen this year
More Rosa multiflora honey.  At least this weed is good for something
These are snapping turtle eggs recently dug up .  Usually this happens the day after they were laid, but this is weeks later.

Rabbit

This little guy has been chased by Grenville, my dog, several times in recent days but he really likes the seeds that drop from my neighbors bird feeder.

This past week

I was trying to find a bird and was hearing a plane behind me.  Finally I turned around to see the loops and question mark in the sky
I could hear the plane continue to loop and maneuver but could not see him until he turned his smoke back on.
