Deers

This Doe and Fawn stopped on the path and looked around for a couple minutes before Grenville was off like a shot toward them.  They finally decided it might be time to move on.
As I continued on, I was thinking that the Doe was not going to make it to Thanksgiving.    When I looked to my left this Doe was standing looking at us from about 15 ft away.  Another that will not see Thanksgiving.

A Red Tail Hawk look in for lunch.  It just amazes me the way she turns her completely around.   Reminds of a movie scene involving split pea soup and a young girl.
The Monarchs were flying around like they were preping for the long flight south.  Earlier in the year the would flutter around, but today they would flutter a bit then just float on the wind.

Fort Hill

A new chair has been added.  Not the normal New York State style.  Very cool!
This map shows where we are at Fort Hill.  Also located are the 5 local Seneca Indian villages.

The tunnel

The road at the end of the tunnel is 1 mi. away.  Rails-to-Trails is a great concept, but unfortunately leads to a lot of sections like this.  It still is a pleasant walk.

Clarks Gully

Compared to Flint Creek, there is not much water running over the cascade.
However, it was probably dry for the past month.
