This Painted Lady was the only thing in a patch of Milkweed where I expected Monarchs or Viceroys.

Letchworth Upper Falls

The Home of Bill Letchworth, The Glen Iris Inn.  He owned most of the park land and this is right in front of the Upper Falls and Middle Falls.

This picture has been taken by so many people that it is hardly note worthy except the bridge is coming down soon to be replaced with a new one.  We watched a train creep over it at about 5 miles per hour which is why it needs to be replaced.

Animals

I took this several days ago and only noticed the fishing line on the middle gosling while looking at the pictures today.   The pictures were taken over several days but I only just downloaded and looked at them so the location are varied.
A Great Blue Heron in  the swampy pond.
This turtle is sunning himself while I was so hot I wanted to jump in the water
I looked back down the trail this morning to see mister Rabbit
This Viceroy has seen better days.

Deadly Night shade

This is the Deadly Night Shade growing on my steps.  One wonders if it was planted there by a neighbor who would like me else where.  I think it is such a wonder mix of colour -  Purple-blue and yellow.

Boughton Park stuff

These turtles are just sucking up the sun.  I think they are a box turtle and painted turtle.
Facing down a Whitetail on the railing
 Ole Mr Toad
Several geese families on the pond.  The goslings are of at several stages from young to almost ready to fledge

Stan Munro - Toothpick king

Stan Munro is the Toothpick king at least in his own city of buildings made with toothpicks and glue.
This stuff is amazing!  These are a few he has made and are now in the Phelps Arts Center, Phelps, NY

Blue Flag

I found this Blue Flag along the trail I was walking and thought this was great because I had been thinking that I missed them this year since I had not been where I normally see them.  Of course I looked back down the trail and realized I had just walked pass about 50 feet  of them before noticing. How terribly observant of me!

Birds from a couple days ago

I didn't get time to publish these pictures and don't have anything newer.  This Cardinal stayed on the wire just waiting for his portrait which is unusual.
A Spotted Sandpiper is the first I have seen always a neat experience.
