Local Industrial park

Snow and woodpeckers

 In the middle of yesterdays snow storm.

I heard a cacophony and saw two birds.  I took the picture so I could go home and find out that they were Pilated Woodpeckers.  What a strange noise they make trying to decide which tree has the gourmet dining  

Beaver tails

 The water is open again so the Beaver is busy

The Mallard family is back also.  Don't know where they go when thing freeze up, but they come back.

The Buffalo hunt went well

 These guys were at the back of the field so were quite far away.

We also found a group of one-legged Geese and Ducks

Where are the hockey players ...

The ice was ready for a shinny game or just a Currier and Ives picture.  It makes me think of Christmas with the gentile snow fall.

A bright sunny day ...

 It is a bright sunny day between storms according to the forecasts.   We had a light snow last night which rests gently on the thistle ...

And the Queen Ann's lace.  A nice walk at the south end of Canandiagua lake.

Cardinal

This Cardinal was trying to get the attention of my orange toque I think.  It sat making a good bit of noise as I stood watching him.

A sunday drive

 These guys were having fun on Canandiagua Lake ski boarding behind the big kite.  Others were use a snowmobile to do the samething.

On the way home we stopped to take more pictures of the turkeys south of Victor.

Park in Snow Storm

They said only 1-2 inches of snow, but I had that much before this was falling.

The Swamp on a cold winter morning

The swamp after a light snow last night.  The Mallards and Beaver are hiding somewhere else.

Turkey trot

I followed this Turkey about 1/4 mile up the road.  I encountered a gang as I turned the corner, but the rest scattered into the woods.  I was looking to take some pix so I was going at an idle and he just kept ahead of me.  Just fun.

Geocaching today

 I think this deer was waiting to flag down a south bound train to hitch a ride.

Does this mean horses must have a bicycle rack with bicycle to cross bridges?

Birds

 The morning Doves were braving the cold start to the morning

The Jay didn't sit still very long in case it froze to the branch.
