Spring flowers

The Skunk Cabbage is about the only wild flower in bloom so expect to see more pictures as not much else to take pictures of.

This is a merge of 4 images at the end of Canandiagia Lake so it is small, but hopefully you can make out all the birds.  I haven't seen this many down there ever.

The pond has open water around it, but the main pond is still a block of ice.

Yesterday's snow on Stid Hill

We got a few inches yesterday making this year the 4th snowiest in recent history.

It was cool and sunny, but lots of snow on still on the ground.

Spring is coming ...

 The Skunk Cabbage flowers are starting to bloom ... can spring be far away.  They are coming up through the ice and snow.

A Downy Woodpecker is finding slim pickens on this branch

Fort Hill in the spring ... probably not yet

 The sun is shining, the grass is showing now all we need is spring

 The deer are out trying to glean dropped corn from the field

I haven't seen this Blue Heron before, but I think he is waiting for the ice leave the pond.
