Penfield, NY

I had the opportunity to walk around Penfield Plaza while my vehicle was being fixed. This vacant building just looks like something out of the fifties (I thing it is much younger). Since I was getting my car fixed this stand seem to fit the day.
This the bridge over the local creek where the trolls do their best work decorating the walls.

It aint spring, but it aint winter

The Mourning Dove was on the peak of my neighbors house as I looked out for the Robins that had been in her yard earlier. I never did get glass on the Robins.
The Blue Jay moved to another location. I think he didn't think his message was getting through even though the new local had the message.
The Ring-billed Gulls were enjoying the sun and ice at the end of Canondaigua lake.

Orchids

These are a few of the Orchids in the local Orchid show at Sonnenburg Gardens. A great show.

Corkscrew cloud

I think this cloud is pointing to wine country in Upstate NY.

Pictures from far away

This is only the 3rd time I have gotten a picture of this guy. The first time he was too young to have had the bald head and the other time was last week. I was still too far away to get a good picture, but I hope to see more of him in the coming months.

This fox looks well feed and in good health as he crossed the far side of the field.

Hawks and Turkeys

I have many pix of this Red-tailed Hawk mostly sitting in a tree, but today he chose to fly very close over head. He may be starting to trust us just a little.
There were more a couple in the trees and others on the ground.
I have seen this herd of Turkeys on several occasions usually about this time of year. The rest of the year they are in the woods and hidden.
