This guy was luck he didn't go far from his lodge. He was right next to it or Grenville would have ruined his day, week, life.

Yet another Sunny warm day

The Red Wing Black birds have returned to the swamp and are claiming their little piece of it. The are very noisy either warning off other males or making so much noise that the females will know where to go.
Flowing water is every where. Some day this will be the currency of exchange - clan fresh water.

The Snow Geese never landed because they couldn't figure out who was leading. They just formed a web that I couldn't catch because my lens was not wide enough.

The Ides of March

The woody swamp is in full bloom with the Skunk Cabbage flowers. This can only mean that Spring will be here shortly, Summer soon after, followed quickly by Fall ... therefore Winter must be just around the corner.

A rainy Saturday

The Blue Heron has returned to the swamp and so has a horse and rider whose tracks I saw a week ago.
It is raining and the warm weather has melted most of the snow filling the creeks

Deer and Starlings

These Deer just stood on the far edge of the field and watched us so we just left them alone. I was glad to finally see some deer since I haven't seen any since hunting season.
These Starlings were just sitting around enjoying the hot, sunny day.

Signs that spring may be coming

The brooks on the hill side are starting to flow, but are still largely cover with ice and the snow on the hill is still almost knee deep.

Grenville was running over the field Hoovering for mice as he ran.
