Corning Glass Museum
Leopold and son Rudolf Blaschka created these teaching models of various sea creatures out of GLASS. WOW!
This Veretillum cynomorium was obviously the inspiration for the hair brush
Try this in glass the next time you are before a Glory Hole
I'm not sure but I think it is a Christmas tree
This is on the second floor. We had 40 days of rain from Hurricane Agnes that year.

The BlueBird of Happiness?
This was one of a hurd of bluebirds. I was very surprised since I don't see very many although there are many around, but not this late in the season. It was pretty cold so he is puffed up.

Beauty warts and all

Weekends are like this
Weekends often look like this Bright and sunny on saturday then back to work on monday and it looks like this ... a foot of snow. I think this has happened to me in August. By the way the butterfly was actually photographed on saturday.
The difference a day ...
Yesterday, 016Nov20, I had on a long sleeved shirt that I had to roll up the sleeves because of the warm weather. This is a brand new walk way that is great making this path an all weather round trip for me. In rainy weather it is a swamp needing boots to cross. However, I am not sure the builders reckoned with the beaver that has been in the area moving his dam down stream causing this flooding.
Today, 016Nov21, slightly different about 12" of snow and temp below freezing with a very strong wind. We had snow earlier but this is SNOW.
Bit more of Fall
This Clouded Sulfur was taken on the 016Nov19 amazing for this time of year. See above 2 days later.

Beaver Moon
Time to set traps if you are going to have a warm Beaver coat for winter. Also a Super Moon, largest and brightest in 70 years. But it is most notable for the clear sky which actually allows us to see it.

More of Fall in Upstate NY
Gone to seed
Surprised to see this guy out in Nov.
This called "Fall streaks" meaning falling ice from the clouds and evaporating before they hit ground
